Whether you will be in town for a few hours, or even a few days, there are many agritourism attractions sure to peak your interests.

Barnesville Farmers Market: Every Thursday from May to October, the Chamber, in conjunction with Ag South Farm Credit, hosts a farmers market. Vendors from throughout the surrounding counties descend on Barnesville to sell their fruits, vegetables, herbs, jarred foods, and various other items. Stay tuned for more information on the 2015 event, including times and location.

Honeywood Farms: Located off of Highway 18 in Barnesville,  Honeywood Farms is a diversified livestock and market garden operation that practices holistic sustainable farming practices rooted in deep ecological principals. On site they raise chickens, beef cows, and pigs while growing vegetables and flowers. They practice sustainable agriculture which incorporates composting, planting cover crops, and mulching. Liberty Hill Country Club: Located 9.5 miles northeast of Barnesville in Milner, the Liberty Hill Country Club is a family farm that offers numerous outdoor activities, services, and products. With over 500 acres of natural splendor, it is easy to get lost in this piece of Georgia paradise. The property has stayed with the same family for over 100 years and boasts horse racing, horse boarding, racehorse training, trail rides, and pony rides, while also serving as a facility that can host small groups to groups over 1,000! The Liberty Hill Honey Company, LLC. is also housed on the property and produces 100% raw, unfiltered honey. For more information, click here.

Redbone Hunting Preserve: Located off of Highway 341 in the Redbone Community, the Redbone Hunting Preserve began offering guided and non-guided quail hunts to the general public 50 years ago. Dove shoots are typically conducted on three or four different fields in two different counties, but they are generally held within a ten mile radius of Redbone’s barn headquarters. Swint’s Pecans and Candies: Located just north of Barnesville in Milner, Swint’s Pecans and Candies has been making delicious treats since 1925. Step back into a different era to hear how the business originated all while purchasing sweet candied treats, accessories, and gifts at Sweet Molly’s Gift Shop. The store is under new ownership and throughout the years has been featured on/in CNN, Atlanta Magazine, Macon Magazine, Atlanta Journal-Constitution,  Griffin Daily News, Barnesville Herald-Gazette, and many others.
