2014 Summer in the Sticks Lineup
The Grayson Rogers Band (Cape Coral, Florida)
Voted Spot Magazine’s 2013 Band of the Year, the Grayson Rogers Band has quickly grown into one of Florida’s most premier up-and-coming bands. After forming their band in March 2012, the Grayson Rogers Band exploded into the Southwest Florida music scene, earning opening slots for national acts only 3 short months after their first-ever performance as a band. GRB performs high-energy music that engages audiences and makes people take notice. Performing a blend of dynamic original music and chart-topping country hits from the biggest names in country today, GRB has quenched the thirst of die-hard country music listeners, as well as exposed a vast group of people to a style of music that they probably would never have thought to try.
Grayson Rogers Band’s first single, “Too Loud” was released in the fall of 2013 and speaks plainly of how GRB plays “country a little too loud;’ underscored by a powerful guitar-heavy rhythm, mixing the best of the country music genre with a little southern rock feel. Subsequent singles, “All Fired Up” and “Party Rocker” bring more of the same high intensity and honest grit that make the band stand out and excite crowds. The band also performs modern country covers from top artists like Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and Kenny Chesney; rising stars like Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch, and Florida Georgia Line; and traditional mainstays like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Garth Brooks.
The band was also involved in a successful campaign to play at the first-ever Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam festival in Panama City Beach, alongside powerhouses Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Brantley Gilbert, and Charlie Daniels Band. In a separate competition hosted by country music star Darryl Worley to become the first-ever Pepsi Southern Original artist, GRB finished in the top 7 out of thousands of bands across the country, performing at Panama City Beach’s prestigious Club La Vela in the final round.
After only 2 years together as a band, Grayson Rogers Band has already earned the opening slot for numerous notable acts, such as The Lacs, Sara Evans, Chris Cagle, Chase Rice, Joe Nicholas, Alan Jackson, Jana Kramer, David Nail, Rodney Atkins, Travis Tritt, Brett Eldredge, Craig Campbell, Aaron Tippen, Dustin Lynch, Eden’s Edge, Coy Taylor, The Band Perry, Cole Swindell, Josh Thompson, Thomas Rhett and Lee Brice.
Hailing from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Sixteen-year-old Jordyn Stoddard may seem like a young up-and-comer, but she has already positioned herself as a triple-threat in the world of music. This youth sings with the soul of a seasoned veteran, strums a signature turquoise guitar and has years of songwriting under her belt. She has shared the stage with such country notables as Montgomery Gentry, The Gatlin Brothers, Easton Corbin, Matt Stillwell and Sunday Best. Stoddard was named 2013 Local Artist of the Year, and her single, “Sayonara”, was selected as the 2013 Local Song of the Year for WQIK-FM in Jacksonville. As such, she was asked to perform on-air during their Best of 2013 Show with John Scott. She is currently nominated for a 2013 SFCM Award for Favorite Local Female Solo Acoustic Artist by SouthFloridaCountryMusic.com.
Notably, Stoddard won the Clay County Fair talent competition in both 2011 and 2012 and was highlighted by the Florida Times Union during the Florida’s Next Superstar talent show in 2011. For the past three years, she has been a regular performer on WJXT’s The Morning Show and was featured in their 4 Chords musical series. She has been given the honor of singing the national anthem at multiple televised football and basketball games.
In 2013, her career gained more momentum as she moved through several rounds of a nationally-televised vocal talent competition. In 2014, she was selected as the headlining musical act for the Jacksonville stop of the PRS Rodeo Tour. In 2013, Stoddard teamed up with Mighty Music Group and producer Daryl Phenneger to begin her first album. That year marked the debut of her first single “Hit and Run”, followed by the sophomore release “Sayonara”. Her next singles, “16” and “Beautiful Disasterpiece” are slated to release in early 2014.
