  • Message From the President

  • I wanted to let you know what the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce is doing for our businesses and our community through this pandemic.

In an effort to provide relevant information during these trying times, I have dedicated myself to serve as an information portal-via local and national health care channels, business resources from our local Industrial development Authority, Small Business Development, and the US Chamber of Commerce.  In our efforts t o help assist companies with business related information, the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber and Barnesville-Lamar County Industrial Development Authority has created two COVID-19 page within our websites for information and news as it evolves. We will try to post updated information as it becomes available.  Check out our web-pages: BLC chamber: https://barnesville.org/convid-19-support-and-updates  and IDA :  https://www.choosebarnesvillega.com/…/covid-19-business-res…

As a community it is important that we support each other and do our part to implement safety measures and guidelines that will help stop the spread of the virus. It is paramount that we strive to stay healthy, buy local where we can, and take care of our loved ones.

As you grocery shop, go to the doctor or fulfill errands that can’t be postponed, be sure to thank employees on the front-lines by recognizing their efforts to keep essential goods and services available for our wonderful community.

Let’s participate in making a difference Monday!  Offer to pick up something for someone that can’t get out and about right now. Offer to pick up groceries, take-out food, or gift cards to use at a later date.  One small act of kindness will go along way!  Our community is counting on us!  Think Local and shop local!

Thank you for working to keep our community healthy and our economy healthy!  If I can assist you in any way please don’t hesitate to contact Melissa at president@barnesville.org.   Lamar County Strong!

    Best Regards,

    Melissa Lee
